Hi, my name is Jamie Hudson. I am a freshman at EOU and I am learning to become a nurse. I have lived in union county all my life and most of my family reside here in the valley. I enjoy reading Christian books. A couple of my favorites are For Women Only by Beth Moore and Redeeming Love by Francines Rivers. These are two of the books I have been reading lately. The first book is teaching me how to honor men and the second book is an enjoyable relaxing novel.
As a child I grew up reading the Mary Kate and Ashley seriers. I didn't miss one seriers of these books, I made sure to read all of them over and over. I was obsessed with these girls and they really caught my intrest at the time but later, I grew out of that period and started reading Charollett's Web. Then in my teen years I did the mandatory reading assignments and for pleasure I read Seventeen magazine. Now I'm drawn to Christian books both for direction and guidance in my life and pleasure.
My cousin is into classics and she is now re-reading Where The Red Fern Grows and Of Mice and Men. She remembers reading them from her childhood and wanted to re-read them. Last year for high school I had to read an author who is famous for her classical work, Willa Cathers and I found her readings very interesting. When I asked another friend what she enjoyed reading she stated shes into reading the Bible and reading books of the Old Testament like Exodus and Leviticus. She is reading this because it's the Feast of Tabernacles and it's Jewish custom to read Torah during this time. This realates to me, I like to read a daily devotion portion of the Bible myself. The third person I interviewed was my mother who predictably reads the news paper everyday. This is her only reading that I generally witness her doing. She does this to be informed of the current issues and to get the daily news. I am thankful my mother reads the news paper because then I don't have to. She tells me everything that's going on.
